To climb the highest mountain is not an easy feat. It takes determination, skill, passion and resiliency. Somewhere along that steep hill, Mohammed Monther came across some rocky terrain, but with his eye on the top, nothing would stop him.
“Nothing that’s worth having comes easy, but you have to follow your dream,” said Mohammed Monther.
Computer Systems Institute (HLC) was in the right place at the right time for Mohammed, who was running out of hope after his Visa had been frozen. With many institutions struggling to manage the extra steps that apply for an international student like Mohammed, he took one last shot with HLC. Not only where they able to accept and set Mohammed up, they did it with ease.
“HLC knew all the rules and regulations, reinstated my Visa and helped me properly adjust to school in the United States,” added Mohammed. “This is part of the dream, to continue my education in the United States.”
With a bachelor’s degree earned in his home country, Jordan, and a master’s degree in business from a university in Hungary, Mohammed knew what his next step was going to be and that was attaining additional education in the United States.
“I want to know how people think in the United States and what they do to become successful,” added Mohammed. “It’s this education and these connections that will propel me to one day open my own business.”
His vision is to combine his two passions, business and technology. With one semester left, HLC has given him the knowledge and vision to turn that into a reality by building his own business technology company.
What’s Next?
So, what’s next for Mohammed? He plans to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT) to gain additional experience working in the field and finish out his last semester this year, 2022, at HLC. With the newly acquired experience he’s gained in technology and management, he’s not sure exactly what company is in his future or even what country he may live in, but wherever he goes, the dream will remain the same and his career with depict where he goes next.
